Doris Gale CLINE (POTTER)
On December 24, 2021, Mrs. Gail Cline passed away in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 73 years.
Gail was born on March 27, 1948, in New Westminster, BC to John Kavanagh and Doris Scott.
Gail was predeceased by her first husband Dave Potter on September 10, 2016 and her second husband Gord Cline on August 14, 2018.
She is survived by her son Steven Potter, his wife Claire and grandsons Adam and Ryan; her son Michael Potter, his wife Christi Lievers and grandsons Nicholas and Brendan; her son David; great-grandson Kayden Bisanz; son Ben Cline; and daughter Courtney Barnes, husband Tye and grandsons Eric and Andrew.
Gail grew up and went to school in Port Coquitlam. She met Dave and they married in 1966. They had three sons: Steven in 1968, Michael in 1970 and David in 1975.
They left British Columbia, relocating to St. Albert and then to Devon, before settling in Spruce Grove.
Gail married Gord on May 14, 2005. She has been raising her grandson Brendan since January 2013.
Gail returned to work after her three sons reached school age, first as a cashier at the Co-op for a short time and then at Safeway for many years. Gail moved on to work in payroll for smaller companies and then Ceridian for many years. She also worked at Lee Valley Tools with Gord until they both retired.
Gail loved to travel. She visited Egypt, Russia, Mexico, Cuba, and Eastern Canada. She had a passion for theatre and she held season tickets for the Winspear Theatre and Horizon Stage.
Gail was an avid golfer and she also had a love for winemaking at home. She dabbled in ceramics and watercolor painting.
A celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 @2:00pm at the Parkview Community Hall, 9135-146 Street, Edmonton, Alberta. Covid 19 restrictions will be in place. You are invited to livestream the service at the following link:
