Natalie Ann DAROUX

Natalie Ann Daroux was granted her angel wings on Sept 30th, 2022.  Born January 31, 1963, in London England, she moved to Canada when only 9 months old. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Natalie had gifted with her warmth and kindness throughout her very memorable life.

Nat’s life was too short, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of her existence far exceeds the quantity of time she walked on this earth. Her all-encompassing smile radiated hope and acceptance, her genuine concern for the well-being of others, and her selfless generosity brought more joy to the people she met than most people could do in 100 years of life.

Despite Natalie being given just a short time from diagnosis, she gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life.  She loved to spend time with family and would do anything for someone in need. Natalie devoted so much time to those who were less fortunate; she worked and volunteered with people with disabilities, indigenous people, and those with mental health concerns; Natalie shared her love of animals by training her pets to do hospital visits, bringing smiles to so many faces. She rescued so many animals, just because she believed that all deserved to have a chance. Natalie could spend hours working with her horses and dogs and gave them the time and attention needed to ensure they could bring joy to others. Natalie will be missed by so many; those gathering together today, but also the many who she shared her time with that may not be able to come out to celebrate her.

Natalie is predeceased by her dad Lionel and survived by her partner Kelly, her mom Joan, her children Natasha, Jennifer (Garett), Codi, and Ryan, granddaughters Sydney, Hanna and Katrina, siblings Stewart, Trevor (Barbara), and Lisa (Anthony), nieces & nephews Daniel, Christina, MaRae, Jake, Talia, Cian; and her wonderful friends (human and fur-friends).

The funeral for Natalie is on Tuesday October 11, 1:00pm at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Calgary Alberta, 1566 Northmount Dr NW, Calgary, Alberta, T2L 0G6

Joan, Kelly and all of Natalie’s family. We were saddened to hear of Natalies passing. It was so quick and wish we could of connected with her before she passed. I am grateful to have seen her just over a year ago and to adopt one of her beautiful Shepard pups. It was also nice to connect with Lisa and talk a bit about the past. Natalie has always held a special place in my heart since we met and worked at the malt shop in 1978. She introduced Denis and I who have now been married for 40 years, all because she didn’t want to go to a party without friends. The Greves and the Daroux families spent a lot of time together strengthening the relationship with Nat even more. We saw each other for the first few years after meeting, and I was honoured to be part of her wedding party. I know that Natalie had many struggles throughout her life but always came out stronger from each setback. She loved her family and her animals unconditionally. She is a force that will be missed always. We are very sorry that we will not be there today but in our hearts she is always with us. Love to all her family.
