Victor Edward FORCHUK

Vic was an avid hunter who loved fishing, golf and watching Oilers hockey. He loved the Alder Flats/Buck Lake community and was always there to help others in any way he could. He was a valued member of cowboy church and always up for coffee and a b-s session with friends. He was a proud member of the Alder Flats/Buck Lake Volunteer fire department, helped with the Oilmen’s golf tournament for many years and facilitated many events with the Alder Flats seniors committee. He had a great impact on many people, his family most of all. After a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer, Vic passed away peacefully surrounded by his children. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. He is now reunited with his son Dennis, who passed in 1988.

Vic is survived by his children: Darren, Neil, and Jennifer. As well as his grandchildren: Katrina, Carson, Mitchell, and Beatrice; and his siblings: Mary and Bill.

Vic’s wish was to be cremated, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Vic’s family would like to thank everyone who donated to help with his care during his illness. Memorial donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation @pancreaticcancercanada.ca for those who may desire to do so.
