Kenneth (Ken) Ronald HOWDLE
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our father, peepaw, brother, uncle and friend Kenneth (Ken) Ronald Howdle with family by his side on February 2, 2023 at the age of 62.
Ken will be lovingly remembered by his children: Christine, Ken (Michelle), Greg “Bones” (Kristen); grandchildren: Harper, Owen, Peyton, Jazmyn, Bodhi, his girlfriend Summer and numerous family and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Harry and Isabel and brother Joseph.
Ken was born and raised in Swan River, MB with his 10 siblings on the family farm. He settled in Saskatoon and raised his family becoming heavily involved in Saskatoon Minor Hockey and the Sask-First program gaining life-long friendships along the way. He was an avid slow-pitch athlete, playing with multiple teams in and around Saskatoon when not busy cheering on the Buffalo Sabres or Bills. He devoted countless hours volunteering in multiple capacities throughout the years while maintaining his love for all things horses, family and cribbage. Once grandchildren arrived, Ken became Peepaw, the loving and supporting grandpa that provided Timbits after hockey practices and horse or tractor rides whenever possible.
A celebration of life will be held at date and location to be determined.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff of the Hospice at Glengarda in Saskatoon.
Our hearts and love and prayers go out to you Little K and Christine and Bones and family. Your Dad was an awesome friend and we had so much fun in our hockey days. So many laughs and memories. ❤️🙏❤️
The McCaig family met you all because of hockey. Those hockey years were some of the best years of our lives and Rick would agree. So glad we became friends beyond the rink spending time at our houses doing the usual playing cards and having a few drinks while the kids were chasing each other around. Even after Ken moved back to Alberta he’d call to keep in touch and we’d share news of our lives and families. No matter what he’d put a smile on my face. So privileged to have had that long last visit with him. He left behind a wonderful group of kids and that leaves a piece of him here on earth. I will miss him.

So sorry to hear this. I remember Ken as just a little guy in grade one or two. Friends with big brother Jim. Condolences to the Howdle family.
I knew Ken for 19 years. He was one of the most selfless human beings I have ever known. He took me in when I needed it, a debt I’ve never felt repaid. He was a great person, and a man any person could be proud to look up to. Ken truly will be missed!

Ken, this is for you. Our bantering back and forth I will miss, our time will be missed, wing night will never be the same without you. I will miss Ken and our Wing nights. We always had so many laughs and good conversation. He had a such a kind heart and was a good friend I will miss.
