Thomas Derrick McLAUGHLIN
Thomas Derrick McLaughlin, age 66, died January 3rd, 2023, in Edmonton AB after a long battle with cancer. It finally won.
He is predeceased by parents Thomas C and E Gertrude McLaughlin, and survived by sister Pam Quinlan (Greg), brother Ricky (Kim) and many nieces and nephews, also, a son adopted out. Tommy was born in Trenton On., and worked about 20 years at the Dye Plant on Film St. He then hopped on a bus to Edmonton in 2011 where he found work at Source Office Furniture, in the warehouse. He was there until his death.
Special thanks to Steve Cunningham his boss and friend for being there for him. Thanks also goes out to Dr. Bailey in Oncology, Cross Care Clinic and Dr. Baig GP. Thomas’ greatest love was fishing, whether it be ice fishing in the Bay of Quinte, at the Dam or on the Trent River he loved it. Music and beer are equal 2nds. He will be missed as a brother and a friend.
Thomas will be cremated at Pointe West Cremation & Funeral Service in Edmonton then sent home to Trenton to be buried with our parents at Mount Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
Will miss you Tommy, rest easy. You will be in our hearts forever. Love from your sister Pam and Greg

I wish you had the chance to meet your Great nieces and nephews, they would have loved you just as much as Taryn and I did. We will miss you! Until we meet again, love you.
My deepest sympathies to Tommy’s family.
You have been missed for many years already. So many memories to cherish.
You were always there to lend an ear, and lend a hand. You were a great uncle to my girls (Taryn and Bree). And a great brother-in-law for many years.
