Brian Ricky MUSEY
Brian was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. Brian’s family meant more to him than anything else, something he often mentioned.
Brian was also passionate about nature, especially birds. He loved to impart his knowledge of birds to anyone who would listen, particularly his grandchildren. Brian could often be found at the lake when he wasn’t home as there was no place he loved more. You would find him there watching the birds and enjoying the water and nature with his family.
Anyone who knew Brian knew he was the most devoted husband, father, and grandfather a family could ask for. Brian is lovingly remembered by his wife, Darcy, sons Dean (Chantelle) and Scott (Michelle), grandchildren Jaxson, Kadence, and Katherine, and baby Everett (soon to arrive), brothers and sister, Dwayne (Judy), Debbie, and Greg (Marianne), and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and mother, John and Amilia.
There will be no formal funeral per Brian’s wishes, but a celebration of life for his family will be held in the spring of 2023. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Movember Canada in Brian’s name.

Very, very sad to hear of Brian’s passing. Darcy, our hearts and prayers go out to you and your family at this difficult time. Seems like only yesterday we were in high school together, sometimes at Eastglen, but mostly at O’Leary. If it is possible for us to attend in the spring of 2023, we would very much appreciate it. So many happy times to talk about.
Our condolences to the Musey family. Brian was a gentle soul with tremendous personality. I enjoyed our time coaching the boys in Atom hockey with both Brian and Ken Liber. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends. RIP Brian.
Darcy, I was really saddened to read about Brian’s passing, and my heart goes out to you and your family, as well as to Brian’s family. I saw Brian last at Sobeys a couple of years ago, and he was as I will always remember him, happy, full of life and always with a big smile. Many fond memories of hanging out with you guys at O’Leary, the creek and many parties. Our sympathies to you and your family.

Darcy, Lucy and I are so sad and sorry to hear the news of Brian’s passing. One of the Beverly boys that I was proud to know so many years ago. He was a genuine nice guy with a big heart and the two of you were one of the sweetest and kindest people I had the privileged to grow up with. We hadn’t kept in touch for a while after our move to Millet so it was so great to see the both of you when we surprisingly showed up for drinks in Edmonton along with Deb and Lawrence and Audrey a few years back. After a couple of minutes it was like we had never left. Great memories. True friendships never fade. Audrey and I feel such a deep loss to say goodbye to someone who had such a big part in our lives and was so special to us. We were truly blessed to grow up together sharing our lives at many get togethers over the years. To say we were blessed to have such an exceptional friend is an understatement. Brian always had a twinkle in his eye and could brighten any room with his presence. He was always an easy going, caring, and meticulous (particularly with his yard, vehicles, and lake lot) guy who was loved and valued by his family and friends. I often found myself in a friendly competition with Brian more often than not, over who had the cleanest car, the greenest lawn, and the most weed free flower beds.
Brian always had a smile and the gift of making anyone feel at ease and comfortable. He had a big heart and saw the good in everything and everyone. A person that had Brian as a good friend in life was the blessed one.
A loss like this is felt by all. Brian was a special, unique person, and he will be deeply missed, we love you and going forward, we wish the ”Moosey” family peace, love, strength, and kindness for your precious loss. We hold you close in our hearts and our beautiful memories of Brian will live on forever. Freebird (Lynyrd Skynyrd) buddy and we will meet again on the other side.
