Francis James REILLY

On February 5, 2023, Mr. Frank Reilly passed away in Jacksonville, Florida at the age of 81 years. Frank had been fighting a respiratory problem for some time. His wife Charlotte and his two children Tamara and Jason were with him when he passed away peacefully under the care of the physicians at the Mayo Clinic.

Frank and Charlotte spent many visits to the Black Diamond community in Florida. He was an active member of the Citrus County Cruisers collector car club. He was an avid golfer and a lover of collector cars. Frank could often be seen driving around the neighborhood in his red 1957 Thunderbird. He won many trophies at car shows in the area. His T-Bird was one of the finest, due to Frank’s care and his desire for perfection. Those who golfed with Frank in his early days knew that they had better have their “A” game ready when playing Frank. He was known for his beautiful swing and his long drives.

In January 1973, Frank started Metropolitan Credit Adjusters in Edmonton. He grew the company into a national entity. Frank was known to be a good man and a good friend to many people in Edmonton and Black Diamond.

Frank will be lovingly remembered by his wife Charlotte Carrier-Reilly, his daughter Tamara (Mike) Sarris, his son Jason, and his two grandsons Sam and Ryley. Frank is also survived by his sister Maureen Barlow of Pickering, Ontario, and Patrick (Diane) Reilly of Toronto.

Frank was predeceased by his father Frank Sr, his sister Margaret and his beloved mother Antoinette who passed away at the age of 102.

Frank will be buried in Edmonton, Alberta.

A gathering to honor and celebrate Frank’s life will be held Monday, May 15, 2023 at Spartans Greek Taverna, 6143 Currents Drive from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
