Eileen Catherine Mary VETTESE
It is with great sadness, much love, and beautiful memories the family of Eileen Vettese (Fowler) announce her passing on November 26, 2022. She was predeceased by her loving husband Frank in 2013.
Left to cherish her memory, are her children: Shelley (Gerry), Callum (Lisa), Mandy (Henry), grandchildren: Mackenzie, Milan (Robyn), Ainsley (Alex), Shyler (Evan), great-granddaughter Sidney and her sisters Sheila (Ken), Dianna, Edna and their families, predeceased by her sister Patricia.
Eileen was born January 10, 1936, in Rhynie, Scotland. She was raised, educated, and married in Aberdeen, Scotland. In 1957, with adventure and a new life ahead, she and her husband Frank immigrated to Canada and settled in Edmonton, Alberta. This is where they raised their family and made many lasting friendships.
Eileen loved family and friends; never wanting to be the center of attention she never missed a chance to gather with everyone to laugh, share and listen to stories. Over the years her door was always open- special occasions, spaghetti dinners, casual coffees and chocolate or a wee dram.
Eileen will be remembered for her quiet strength, her creative flair for style and fashion, her passion for singing and the arts, reading, travelling and time spent with family and friends.
Thank you to all who have shared prayers, kind words of support
and memories during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
Shelley, Callum, Mandy and Families, I was so saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. I have many great memories, but the most precious blessing is how she was such a great friend to our mom. She’ll be deeply missed! Please accept our deepest condolences.
