Warren Jacob Sheydwasser

It is with great sadness that our family shares the passing of Warren Jacob Sheydwasser on March 22, 2025. Multiple Myeloma and kidney failure took him from us far too soon after his diagnosis in March of 2024.

Warren was born in Toronto on September 28, 1971 to Harvey and Veronica Sheydwasser. He did all of his schooling in Ontario, ending his high school years in Toronto, at Sir Sanford Fleming. Warren began post-secondary at the University of Western Ontario for business in 1989. With his first year coming to a close, the West was calling his father to a new opportunity in Edmonton, Alberta. They made the decision to come out together. Warren continued university at Grant MacEwan and finished his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Alberta in 1993. He went on to article at KPMG before joining LogiCan Technologies working alongside his dad. Later in life, Warren started his own business and took pride in being an entrepreneur and self-starter.

Warren was a lover of music, The Godfather trilogy, wine, cars, travel and family. He could often be found on his deck whipping up his latest BBQ creation to share with family and friends. He was very active in the Tech community in Edmonton as well as being the founding president of the Oakhills Community League.

Warren is survived by his wife Karen, daughter Sara, father Harvey (Colette), mother Veronica, grandmother Edith, brother Jeff (Genevieve), brother Mike (Jen), Uncle Frank (Mary) as well as cousins, Heather & Eric and their families, nephews Michael (Rainley), Kyle & Matthew, nieces Meagan & Briella and great niece Rome.

He was preceded in death by his paternal  grandparents Louie & Regina, Uncle Arnold, his stepfather Garry as well as his sister in law Adriana.

His final resting place will be on the Memorial Pathway at Rosehill Cemetery Edmonton, AB.

There will be no service as a “Living Celebration of Life” was held on September 28th, 2024.

Warren loved the God Father, but few knew that he was a fan of the film classic, The Blade Runner. To borrow a fitting line from the movie: “The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long.” You my friend burned oh so brightly. You’ll always be in our memories.

I am deeply saddened by the news. Warren was a great person. I am glad I had the opportunity to have known and worked with him at Logican.
