TAMARA FAHMY AL-RASHEED
It is with profound sorrow, that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of
Tamara Al-Rasheed on February 19, 2023 at the age of 37.
Tamara will be forever remembered by her husband Naim Elias, her three children Fares, Christel and Christian Elias and her mother Samira El-Khoury. Mourning her loss are brothers; Bashar Al-Rasheed and his wife Reem Mansour of Toronto, Hadi
Al-Rasheed and his wife Mari Al-Baba of Edmonton and Nader Al-Rasheed and his wife Sonia Shalabi of Edmonton. Her sisters; Khouloud Al-Rasheed and family of Edmonton, Maya Al-Rasheed and her husband Nidal Alawabdi of Syria and Rania Al-Rasheed and husband Milad Alshanaa of Toronto, her aunts and uncles, many cousins, nieces and nephews in Toronto, Montreal, United States, Syria and around the world. Tamara was predeceased by her father Fahmy Al-Rasheed.
Tamara was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and moved to Syria where she met her husband Naim, they married 2007 in Damascus. In 2016, Tamara, Naim and their children immigrated to Canada from Syria making Edmonton their home. She was happy to be reunited with family and close relatives and was building a beautiful life in Canada. Tamara was a devoted wife and a loving and attentive mother who adored her children. She was a kind, caring and supportive daughter, sister and aunt as well as a beloved friend to many people. Tamara always made time for her family and friends, she enjoyed helping others and was an active member of her church and community. Her beautiful smile would warm your heart.
She went back to school to pursue her career as well as help support her family and recently graduated as a Dental Assistant. One month ago, Tamara joined her brother’s dental practice in Edmonton and was excited about starting her new career there. Tamara will be dearly missed by so many people.

Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 8:00 pm at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church located at 9850-148 Street, NW Edmonton.
Funeral Service will be held the following day on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at
11:30 am also at St. John Evangelist Church with the Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery in south
Fr. Sayed Kozhaya, presiding.
