Roger Marvin ANDREWS

Roger Marvin Andrews’ beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and farmer passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the age of 86 years. Roger was born on January 1, 1937 at Ardenode, Alberta, the fifth child of nine to  Robert Howard & Ethel Andrews. Roger started his journey working the family farm tending to crops and cattle.

In 1961 Roger left the family farm and married Janet Lutz. Roger worked on a feedlot amongst other things.  In 1968 Roger and his family moved to McRae to start his own family farm where he started his own mixed farming operation of cattle and grain.  He was a successful farmer who  loved to show  his farm and herd of beloved cattle to anyone that came to visit.

In 2008 Roger and Janet moved to a small acreage in Quill Lake Saskatchewan where he embraced a simpler life , cherishing the fruits of his labor and finding joy in the natural beauty around him. 

Roger moved to Vilna AB in 2018 to be closer to family.  Roger will be deeply missed by his wife Janet, daughter Maryann ( Les) Innisfail children Jamie, Geneva and Dorothy. Marvin ( Gwen ) Duffield children Holly, Tristan and Brandon. Carolyn ( Mike ) Morningside children Sarah, Melissa and Cassandra. Jerry (Carla) McRae children Cole and Landon. Roger is also survived by twelve great grandchildren,  two brothers David and Danny; one sister Joyce , numerous nieces and nephews, family members and friends. Roger was predeceased by his parents,  Robert Howard & Ethel Andrews, brothers Bob, Harold and Larry Andrews, and sisters Joan Stevenson and Loretta Bradley. A private family  memorial service will be held at a later date.
