Lilli Walli BODO

Lilli Bodo (nee Jeske)
January 10 th , 1932 – March 26 th , 2024
Lodz, Poland
After 92 years on earth, I have decided to move one last time and end my
residency in this world. I have had a ‘Totally Awesome’ stay, full of love,
laughter and joie de vivre. My devoted husband (Jozef) of 45 years, my
caring daughter (Linda), amazing friends, neighbours, and colleagues have
indeed given me the best times of my life.
I had a passion for style and enjoyed curating my wardrobe with snappy
outfits, killer shoes and was never afraid to start a new trend. I loved
entertaining and creating lip-smacking cuisine to wow my guests. Working
with my hands was particularly rewarding - be it creating magic in the
garden, sewing or knitting. After retirement I knitted over 1000 sweaters for
children in need while watching America’s Funniest Pets, sipping my Grand
Marnier and clacking my needles without missing a stitch.
I had rhythm and boy did I like to dance. Music was my thing and I could
boogie to any song with gusto while singing my heart out to the words –
even though at times I may have made some of them up. Travelling was
another favorite interest, from Hawaii to the Mayan Riviera and of course,
Germany were top picks for yearly get-aways.
Enough about me. I would like to thank the terrific staff and caregivers at
Touchmark who made my last few years a complete joy. I prefer no service
however donations to the Alzheimer’s Society and/or the Heart and Stroke
Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
Bis später, meine Freunde

Dear Linda, our heartfelt condolences. We were so sad to hear of Tante Lilli’s passing. She was always one of my favourite aunts and I always loved her joy for life, creativity, having fun and saying it like it is! We have lost a true light in this world. Keep your memories close. Love from Gaby and Len.
