Celebrating Darrell J.W. Boutilier’s Life – June 5,1971 – July 12,2026
Darrell was a kind man with a sense of humour. His mission in life, once baptized in his 20’s, was to speak to people about the Lord. Darrell was willing to quote the Bible to everyone he met. Lana Pinskey, of North End library taught Darrell to read so he could read his Bible. He was baptized at Cornwallis Street Baptist Church in his 20’s and Rev. Thornton Williams became a mentor, and friend guided him as he learned about God for over 30 years.
Survived by his wife, Tammy Gilchrist, Edmonton, AB, and mother, Deloris Boutilier, Halifax, NS. Predeceased by his Father- Phillip Boutilier
Survived by: Marcella Boutilier, Kayla Boutilier, Hfx. Lori Drew-all of Dart. Lisa Fletcher, Hfx. Aunt Sylvia Saulnier, Halifax, niece Candace Boutilier, New Brunswick, Many other nephews and nieces and great nephew and nieces. Darrell lived in Edmonton over 20 yrs. Attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. Thanks to Pastor Brian Rice and David Rooke for their many visits to the hospital, and many sandwiches and drinks bought each time he visited. Also thank you to the staff on floors 6, 5, and 4 at Royal Alexander Hospital for caring for my son all these many months. The people who met Darrell were kind to him during his lifetime.
