Michael BOYSEN

Michael Boysen was born on June 21, 1969, to Erling and Carol Boysen of Edmonton, Alberta. He is survived by his loving wife LeeAnn Boysen, his three sisters Naomi Barclay, Shelley Fancy and Annalieza Carvajal, and his parents.

Mike was raised in a number of places including Edmonton, Spruce Grove, Courtenay, BC, and Ontario but made his home in St. Albert along with his beloved wife. As a young person Michael could often be found working on or driving his cars or coming up with fun games to entertain his little sisters. In 1990 he met the love of his life LeeAnn and they were married September 19, 1992. Never was Mike happier or more at peace than next to his best friend and soul mate LeeAnn. She brought out the very best in him and he in her. Michael was a dedicated and devoted husband working very hard to provide for his family physically, emotionally and spiritually. He was a craftsman and talented framer who worked so hard at times he out worked 5 man crews with just one other helper.

In 2004 Mike dedicated his life to his God, Jehovah, becoming baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Mike took his volunteer ministry very seriously and enjoyed speaking to his neighbours about his faith. He also enjoyed helping on various regional building projects where his ability and skills were used to help others.

Michael will be greatly missed. He will be remembered as a kind, gentle, soft hearted man. He loved animals and they loved him. Nothing could soften his heart faster than animals in need. His and Leeann’s pets were loved and treasured by them both. He was a hard worker, loyal husband, caring son and protective, loving brother. He was attentive to young and old alike, deeply loved by his friends and family.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for all the help and love that has been shown during this difficult time. We are confident that Mike is alive in God’s memory. We cherish the Bible based hope of seeing him again in Paradise on the earth. We find comfort and strength looking forward to that future when painful memories will not be called to mind, tears will be no more, and we can feel the embrace of his loving arms again – (Rev. 21:3,4).

Services will be held at the St. Albert Community Hall (17 Perron Street) on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS), an organization Mike felt strongly about.

Loss is never easy and even harder when it is someone you love and cherish. It is the storehouse of memories that each one of you has that will keep him with you each and every day. May those memories bring you comfort along with the prayers, kindness and support of those who love each one of you.
