We are saddened to announce that Kimberly Ann Brittain (“Kim”) passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2023 at fifty years of age at her home in Edmonton, Alberta. Kim was born to Carroll Lynn Tomalty (Jarvis) and Barry Elmer Tomalty on April 23, 1973, a little sister for her brother, Craig.

Kim and Mac Martin welcomed their daughter, Alexa Carroll Mae Martin, into the world on September 3, 1999. Alexa was Kim’s only child and the love of Kim’s life, forever her “Number 1”. Kim and Mac married in 2001 in Edmonton. 

In 2014, Kim married her second husband, George Brittain.

Predeceasing Kim was her beloved mother, Carroll in 2002 and grandmother, Evelyn Jarvis, in 2010. Among those mourning her loss are her daughter Alexa, husband George, father Barry Tomalty, brother Craig Tomalty (Susan) and their children, Kieran, and Liah; sister Brianna Tomalty (daughter of Barry and Sonja Graham) and her children, Riley and Kayden. Kim’s aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends will also miss her greatly.

A Celebration of Life is being planned for the summer. More information will follow as it becomes available.
