Bryan Leslie CANEY

Bryan Leslie Caney

October 28, 1955 – March 23, 2023

It is with heavy hearts our family announces the passing of Bryan Caney. Bryan passed in the early morning of March 23, 2023 with his wife of 48 years by his side. He leaves behind his two daughters Crystal (Shawn) and Nicole (Don) and his eight grandchildren Byron, Leya, Lukas, Jena, Lauren, Jackson, Jaelyn and Jamison who meant everything to him. Bryan was predeceased by his father John Leslie Caney, Mother Daisy Caney and brothers Ted and Jack Caney.

Bryan was born on October 28, 1955 and lived his life to the absolute fullest. He was the youngest sibling of seven Doris, Muriel, Myrna, Ted, Jack, Russ, and Colleen. Throughout the years Bryan made many lifelong friends through school, lake lots, and his business ventures. He loved to help everyone and never expected anything in return. He loved being a mentor and so many people respected and loved Bryan for this very reason.  Bryan always loved having people around him and enjoyed telling stories about his life whether it was from his school days with his best friend, or while he was working up north, or from one of his many holidays he took with family or friends.

Bryan will be deeply missed by the many people he touched over his years. He was truly a remarkable unique person that loved helping people. He made the dash in his life count and our lives will never be the same without such a selfless, kind person.  Bryan has left many meaningful memories that will last a lifetime for those who knew and loved him.

A private Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In honor of Bryan, donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation at suite 309, 1010 – 1 Avenue NE, Calgary, Alberta, T2E 7W7 or online at
