Antoun Elias Chalabi (July 5th, 1938 – December 29th, 2025)
Chalabi, Antoun Elias – It is with deep sorrow that the family of Antoun “Tony” Elias Chalabi announces his passing on December 29, 2025 at the age of 87. Antoun was born in Machghara, Lebanon. Beloved son of the late Elias Chalabi and the late Rose Karkache. Much loved brother of the late Toufic (late Mona), the late Antoinette (late Anis), the late Marwan (Therese), and Atallah (Claire). Antoun was a cherished uncle and will be fondly remembered and missed by his eleven nieces and nephews and their families. Antoun will also be missed by his extended family, the Chalabi, Karkache, and Ibrahim families. He has left behind many friends and loved ones who held him dear.
The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Philip Antiochian Orthodox Church, 15804 98 Ave NW Edmonton, Alberta. Interment at Rosehill Cemetery, 1605 141 St SW, Edmonton, AB T6W 3R6.
Following the interment, the family invites you to join them for a time of fellowship and refreshments at AC Pub & Pizza, 1919 105 St, Edmonton, Alberta.
For those wishing, in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Philip Antiochian Orthodox Church or the University Hospital Foundation are welcome in his memory.
