    Dear Ernesto, Luigi and Dan-
There are no words to express what an absolute treasure Palma was. She was a complete force in every aspect of her life, and I am so honoured to have learned from her as a boss in my career and then get to call her a friend. She left an indelible mark on my heart, and on my career and I will be forever grateful to have known and loved and be loved by her. Holding space for all of you in my heart today and every day as you try to navigate this terrible loss. Sending love and light to your entire family. God bless you all.

To all Palma’s family, special friends, colleagues of ECSD…
I send my sincere sympathies and condolences to all of you who knew and appreciated the great leader in ECSD… that she was to the many lives she touched. I worked for/with Palma at St.Pius X School and I never forgot her example of positive reinforcement for the students, in their learning and growing as faith-filled citizens of the future. Although I only worked with her for that 1st school year… but I never forgot the impact she had on so many people. I’m sorry I did not know of her passing until this morning… or I would have attended her services. Anyone who knew Palma knew how she was always in control of the life of her school and her staff. It’s so sad that she became a victim of cancer… which took away the control of her life that she always fought for. God bless Palma 🙏🏽💔✝️ May you rest in peace in God’s almighty Kingdom
Here is the poem I wrote for St.Pius X School – inspired by Palma and all the school family, the year I was there…

It is with great sadness that I learned of Palma’s passing. I had the pleasure and great fortune of working with Palma when she was the principal at the school where I taught. Through her grace, thoughtfulness and encouragement she created a school atmosphere which was inclusive, warm and welcoming. I know that, through her example, she planted seeds of kindness and compassion in the hearts of the thousands of students and staff whose lives she touched. And that is a beautiful legacy which will keep her spirit burning bright. My heartfelt condolences to her family.
