Elmer Edwin Gustav DAHLGREN

Elmer Edwin Gustav Dahlgren
1955 – 2025
It is with deep sadness that the family of Elmer Edwin Gustav Dahlgren announces his passing on October 28, 2025, at the age of 70.
Elmer was born in Alberta, though his childhood was largely spent in the beauty of British Columbia. Before making his home in Gunn, Elmer raised his family in Edmonton, building a life full of love, friendship, and community spirit. Elmer lived a life rich with laughter, kindness, and connection. Known for his playful sense of humor, he had a knack for brightening any room he entered — often with a practical joke or a mischievous grin. Beneath the humor was a heart full of compassion, especially for animals, who seemed to sense his gentle spirit. Whether it was a stray cat needing a home or a loyal dog by his side, Elmer always had room for one more furry friend.
Elmer was predeceased by his beloved partner Sharon Napper, sister Josie Davidson, brother Alfred Dahlgren, and parents, Edwin and Helen Dahlgren.
He leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory: sons Jared (Kelsie) Dahlgren and Darren Napper, daughter Andrea (Jason) Dobbs, grandchildren Maeryn, Faye, Norah, and Jaden, as well as his great-granddaughter Valani. Elmer is also survived by his sister Jeanette (Graeme) Young, brother Kelvin Dahlgren, and many nieces and nephews who will miss his warmth and humor. Elmer also shared a special bond with Norman Perreault, for whom he was a coach, mentor, and friend. His impact extended beyond his family to the community he cared for deeply.
Elmer’s life will be celebrated in the hearts of all who knew him; a gathering will be held at a later date.
