Kayla is survived by her father Bruce Dene, brother Sage Dene-Andrews, aunties: Marge, Dorothy, Joyce and Ann, sister Jamie Alook, stepfather Edward Alook, uncles Ferland and Vern, grandmother Liz Laderoute, grandmother Katie Dene as well as numerous cousins.

She was predeceased by her mother Charlotte Andrews, brothers Raymond and Ryan Omeasoo, sister Angel Dene-Andrews and her grandfather Lawrence Andrews.

Kayla was a happy person with a big heart. She was generous and caring. Kayla was very family oriented and enjoyed family events such as Christmas.

She was known for her friendly and happy personality. Kayla enjoyed having her “little drink” such as “Monsters”.

A wake will be held at Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples, 10821-96 Street, Edmonton on Thursday September 17, 2026 at 4:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 18, 2026 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church of the First Peoples.
