Lovely written obituary for a very lovely, kind hearted man. My heart goes out to his family on his sudden loss. He will be missed for sure in the village of North Rustico, PEI. His hilarious stories of life growing up on a farm in small town PEI can only be outdone by his examples of his enjoyment of the people in his world. His family meant the world to him and he didn’t hesitate to brag about their talents and accomplishments. He was a very smart man who could turn his hand to any task and duty on the farm or on the job at the worksite. He will be missed. Hugs and heartfelt condolences to all.

Lorraine and family, Please accept our sincere condolences on the sudden loss of Eric. He will be missed in so many circles, not the least of which will be by his high school graduating class. He was always a faithful attendee at our reunions, and his incredible memory for historical details of his community and the generations of people in it, will be sadly missed. His great memory, coupled with his gift for story telling, meant that he was able to impart lots of historical and cultural tidbits about the Island to the upcoming generations. In so doing they are now better be able to appreciate the uniqueness and richness of life growing up in PEI a generation ago. We will miss him at our reunions, but he can now joyfully join his deceased family members and classmates in heaven and reminisce about the “old days”. RIP Eric. Hugs, Terry and Paula Gauthier
