Zachary Paul FODCHUK

Zachary Paul Fodchuk, beloved son, stepson, and grandson, passed away on September 29, 2026, in Edmonton, Alberta, at the age of twenty-six. Born on September 9, 2000, Zach spent his entire life in Edmonton, a city that shaped him into the hardworking, big-hearted young man those who loved him will never forget.

Zach found his calling in the trades, earning his Journeyman Welder certification through NAIT — an accomplishment he wore with immense pride. He brought the same dedication to his work as he did to everything else in life. Among his proudest milestones were graduating as a journeyman welder and purchasing his first ATV and truck, both of which opened the door to the outdoor adventures he lived for. Whether he was mudding through backcountry trails, hunting, fishing, or gathered around a campfire with music filling the air, Zach was most himself when he was out in nature.

Those who knew Zach well understood that beneath his rugged exterior lived a genuinely tender soul. He had a remarkable soft spot for animals and children, and his warmth and gentleness touched everyone around him.

Zach is survived by his mother, Rebecca Fodchuk, and stepfather, Andrew MacCallum; his father, Keith Frederick, and stepmother, Simone Baxter; his stepbrothers, Peyton and Karson;

His grandparents Paul Fodchuk, Grant Taylor, Lillian Fodchuk and Diane Mullan; and a wide and loving community of extended family and friends.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that Zach is now home with God. He lived fully, loved genuinely, and will be deeply missed.
