My most heartfelt condolences to Tara, Adrie, and Elena. I worked closely with Chris at Edmonton Tourism from 2015-2017, and the team had so much fun together because of Chris. He truly loved exploring the city and province (and beyond), and helped ignite this sense of adventure and pride in others. Years later, so many fond memories come to mind with Chris’s lighthearted spirit and epic storytelling. He was always eager to support new events and businesses, he made everyone laugh, and he was a trustworthy friend. Above all, he was incredibly devoted to his daughters and loved being a father. He was so, so proud of Adrie and Elena. They say “the good die young,” and it couldn’t be more true in this case. Chris was one of the very good ones, and his tragic loss is mourned by so many people.

Our heartfelt sympathy to Tara, Adrie, Elena, Jennifer and Julie. Being friends with Joe and Liz, we watched Chris grow up from birth and heard many “Chris” stories along the way. He was a good son, brother, husband, father and uncle. We will all miss him.

Heartbreaking news. Having spent a lot of time at the Foster household during our younger years, I remember fondly, Chris’ very sharp sense of humour and the tight bond Jen had with Chris. My deepest condolences to Chris’ family and and extra big hug to my close childhood friend, Jen

I am very sorry to hear this news and would like to share all my love with his family during this time. I had the pleasure of working with Chris helping his team to bring a little more Edmonton to the world – something he felt immensely passionate about during his time at EEDC/Explore Edmonton. Everyone that met Chris would tell you how amazing of a guy he was and how much joy he brought into everything he did. We will miss him greatly.

I am very saddened to hear of Chris’ passing. Though I had not seen him in years, I have fond memories of his sense of humour, his sharp wit and or course his fanatical devotion to Dutch Football. I enjoyed many great chats with Chris in the short few years our paths crossed. He was a fine conversationalist and we got on well. I regret I’ll not get to speak with him again. To the extended Foster family, my deepest condolences on such a sudden and profound loss. He will be missed.

I have fond memories of late, late nights with Chris swilling beer, talking about bands, and getting to the bottom of the worlds problems. I regretfully lost touch with him over the past many years and now it’s too late.

My sincerest condolences to Tara, her daughters, and to the Foster family.

May your grieving be brief and may the pleasure of warm memories wash over you as soon as possible.

I was so very sorry to hear of Chris’ passing. As his former high school teacher, I remember Chris well as an intelligent, thoughtful, and engaged individual with a great sense of humour. Years later our paths crossed again and we reconnected through our mutual work in the tourism/visitor services sector. He was a lovely guy who will surely be missed. My most sincere sympathies to his entire family.
