Donna Marlene Fricke (née Ball) passed away on April 24, 2026, in Edmonton, Alberta, at the age of 65.

Donna was born on January 1, 1961, in Surrey, British Columbia, and was raised in Golden, British Columbia. A determined and independent woman, she put herself through hairdressing school and went on to establish and operate her own hairdressing studio, an accomplishment she took great pride in.

Donna will be remembered for her laugh, her strong devotion to her family, and the joy she found in being a nana. She enjoyed time with her family, playing bingo, cheering on the Calgary Flames, and watching Christmas Hallmark movies.

She is survived by her loving parents, Ken and Mary Ball; her husband of 44 years, Michael; her sons, Jeremy (Angie) and Jared (Kerri); her grandchildren, Jaden, Conner (Taylor), Dominic, Heaven, Josh, and Curt; her great-grandchildren, Dawson and Brinley; her brother, Stewart (Patty); her sister, Susan (Ken); and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Donna was predeceased by her sister, Diane and nephew Kevin.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
