Mrs. Shirley Anne Frost (née Beier), aged 77, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Born on March 23, 1948, in Beaverlodge, Alberta, Shirley lived a life marked by dedication to her family, community, and career.
Shirley met the love of her life, MCpl Lewie Frost, through her brother George, who was also in the military. They knew it would be forever and married on December 2, 1967. They welcomed their first son Robert, April 14, 1968, and second son Kevin, September 1,1970.
While being a military wife and wonderful mom, Shirley began her professional journey at a Credit Union located at the Canadian Forces Base (CFB) in Greisbach. Her career with the Credit Union continued when she relocated with her family to CFB Trenton in Ontario. Upon returning to Alberta in Calgary, Shirley continued her banking career where she began with ATB Financial. In 1983 Shirley and her family moved back to Edmonton where she concluded her remarkable 35-year career with ATB Financial. Her commitment and work ethic left an enduring impact on colleagues and clients alike.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Shirley is survived by her loving husband Lewie Frost; her children Rob (Jacqueline) and Kevin; and her cherished grandchildren Devon, Derek, Aleta, and Lauren. She was predeceased by her parents Hans and Mable Beier and her siblings George, Eva, John, and Paul.
Shirley’s life was deeply intertwined with her community. For 26 years, she dedicated herself to volunteering for various causes close to her heart. Whether organizing events or lending a helping hand where needed most, Shirley’s contributions enriched the lives of many around her. She also found joy in playing Bingo and treasured every moment spent with her family.
Known for her selflessness and unwavering love for those closest to her, Shirley always put others before herself. Her family was the center of her world, and she ensured they felt supported and loved throughout her life. Her warmth and generosity will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
May Shirley’s memory bring comfort to those who loved her dearly and inspire others to live with the same kindness and devotion that defined her life.
