Linda Rose GODIN

Godin, Linda Rose (nee Strutz)

April 11, 1950 – July 31, 2024

Linda Rose Godin (nee Strutz) passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 31, 2024, at the age of 74. Loving mother to Charles Godin (Liz), Pamela Chapman (Johnny), and Joseph Chapman (Jeanette). Cherished grandmother of Tina, Ryan and Erika. Great grandmother to Jacob and Tristan. Reunited with her parents Ruth & Ralph Strutz. Survived by her sister Kathy Kozak (Bob), and brothers Steve Strutz, John Strutz (Chris), and David Strutz. Predeceased by her sister Judith Edo and brother-in-law Al. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Linda was born in Detroit, Michigan. She immigrated to Windsor, Ontario as a young woman where she started her family. Linda relocated to Edmonton, Alberta later in her life. In her spare time, she enjoyed being outdoors, and going for rides on her scooter. No matter what obstacles she faced throughout her life, she overcame each one with perseverance and bravery. She was a very generous and giving person, helping others along the way. Linda loved her entire family, friends, caregivers and critters. She will be missed for her kind heart, brave spirit and wicked sense of humour.

As per Linda’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will take place at a later date. “The memories we shared will always be with us. Go in the light of God our beloved and precious one, you are forever loved.”

Was so blessed to have known you dear friend and to have worked side by side with you. We went through quite a lot at work, but it did not stop us from loving the care we provided to others. You were a “rock” at work, and man, we laughed our way through. I was so happy you and Pam were a part of my wedding, and looked after my baby Cassandra that night. I had complete trust in you both, because that is how you rolled. Always will carry a piece of you in my heart. Goodbye my darling friend. And now you can “haunt” at will with angel wings. To those you left behind, my deepest sympathy at your loss. She will forever be in your hearts.
