With great sadness, we share the passing of Lana Marie Hochban-Wadham, a woman whose humour, stubborn spark, and unforgettable personality left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. Lana lived a life filled with challenges, but she faced every moment with honesty, attitude, and a spirit that made her impossible to forget.
Lana endured more than anyone ever should. She fought through two battles of Stage 3 cancer, faced open-heart surgeries, and carried years of serious heart problems with a strength no one should ever have to find. Even with everything her body put her through, her loud, loving personality never faded. She had a way of lighting up even the hardest days.
Lana was welcomed into heaven by her daughter Diamond Crystal Meszaros, her mother Sharon Richmond, her brother Jimmy Hochban, and the father of her children, Tom Meszaros and her dog, Buddy. Knowing she arrived in their arms brings comfort to those she leaves behind.
Lana did not pass alone. She left this world peacefully, surrounded by the special ones who stayed with her, held her hand, and brought her comfort as she made her journey home.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Wadham and Michael Meszaros, along with her three grandchildren, Acaia, Malakai, and Parker who will always remain part of her story. Lana also leaves behind her father Jim Hochban (Donna), lots of close family and numerous nieces and nephews, and many dear friends who shared her life, her laughter, and her memories.
To them, Lana was more than family or a friend, she brought humour, chaos, warmth, and comfort just by being herself. She was small, but her presence was huge, and the memories she left behind will stay with her people for a lifetime.
Right to the end, Lana was herself, cracking jokes, and even while leaving this world, she made us laugh through our tears. Only Lana could do that.
Her stories, her laughter, and her spirit will live on forever.
We will carry her with us, always.
