A FAMILY’S HEARTBEAT
In 2006, during her college years, Omowumi met Olabode Idowu (her best friend, soulmate, and the absolute love of her life), they were in a loving relationship for 5 years and got married on 4th June 2011. Together, Omowumi and Olabode built a life that was full of friendship, respect, love, laughter and most importantly a foundation that was built on God. Omowumi and Olabode welcomed their sons, Irebambo in 2012 and Iteolu in 2016. Outside of God, Omowumi’s family was the most important thing in her life and the center of her world. She was also a loving daughter to her parents and an exceptional leader and role model to her five younger siblings (Omotola, Ayobami, Omolade, Tosin and Tobi).
GRACE IN SIMPLICITY
Omowumi loved to give back to her community. In 2021 she served as the director of logistics for the Canadian Cancer Society relay for life and she continued to serve in different capacities till her cancer diagnosis in March 2023. Omowumi lived a simple and impactful life. Her friendship, love, generosity, kindness and empathy touched everyone she encountered, and her legacy endures. She appreciated the beauty in life, lived her life with purpose and most importantly she was a woman of great virtue. She was very hospitable, accommodating and loved to meet, talk to, and get to know people. Wumi Alli was a colleague in Norvatis. Very pleasant , amiable and loving. I remember the beautiful smile with white teeth. You will always be remembered in a loving way. God be with your family.
Rest in peace Wumi. I didn’t get to experience your love and personality but I can sure say that you made great friendships that I would be able to testify that I knew and experienced you too through them. God bless and strengthen your family.
