Ross Arthur KELLY

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ross Arthur Kelly on December 6, 2024. Ross passed away unexpectedly at the age of 69.

Ross was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He met his loving wife Lana in 1980, and they were married in October 1982. In 2024, they would have celebrated their 42nd year of marriage.

Ross received his Certificate of Journeyman Welder and Grade B Pressure Welder just out of high school, and worked for The Saskatchewan Potash Mine, as well as Kay Lake Mining Corporation. Realizing this wasn’t his passion he went on to receive a Diploma in Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Masters of Business Administration, and Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor. Ross worked in the tire industry for the past forty years and retired in 2023 from Transport Tire. Ross’ strengths and interests were being out in the stores, talking to and getting to know the owners, employees and customers. His real passion was in acquisitions & mergers, where he was fascinated with the idea of learning something new and something he had never done before come to fruition. Ross also volunteered his time as Treasurer for the Corporation at Rutherford Estates since 2011.

Ross loved to learn and grow as a person. He enjoyed going to the gym, travelling with his loving wife Lana, loving on his dog Allie, as well as spending time with family. Ross received so much joy being a Great Uncle, as well as a mentor to so many people.

Ross is predeceased by his loving wife Lana Kelly, father Arthur Kelly, mother Audrey Ewert, step-father Wilfred Ewert, sister Brenda Duncalfe, and brother Kirk Kelly.

Ross is survived by his step-mother Audrey Kelly, step-brothers: Robbie (Shelley) Ouellette, Dwayne (Lawrence) Little, sister Heather Kelly (Ray), nephews Jason Martens and Travis Nicholls, niece Desirae (Jesse) Magas, great niece Hannah Magas, and great nephew James Magas, in-laws Marge & Jerome Walsh, sister-in-law Jean Bertrand, nephews Ryan and Evan Bertrand, as well as many other family members, their families and many friends.

Ross’ family would like to extend their gratitude for the love and support, care and attention received from Kristin and Garry Howdle as well as Madison Simunkovic of Pointe West Cremation & Funeral Service Ltd. in their time of sorrow.

Four Candles

The first candle represents our grief.

The pain od losing you is intense.

It reminds us of the depth of our love for you.

The second candle represents our courage.

To confront our sorrow, to comfort each other,

To change our lives.

This third candle we light in your memory.

For the times we laughed, the times we cried,

The times we were angry with each other, the silly things you did and for the caring and joy you gave us.

This fourth candle we light for our love.

We light this candle that your light will always shine,

that we share your memories with

our family and friends and cherish that special

place in our hearts that is always reserved

for you. We thank you for the gift your living

brought to each of us.

We love you. We remember you.
