Bonnie Lynn KISH
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Kish (Bricker) of Edmonton, Alberta. Bonnie passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 72 years.
Bonnie is lovingly remembered by her husband Ken, her three children Jeff (Sue), Nikki (Jamie), Carmen (Jeff) and her four stepchildren Stephanie (Jay), Jamie, Mitch (Lisa), Paul (Stephanie), as well as her four siblings Lorna, Neil, Brenda (Don), Father Brian, thirteen beautiful grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, and her two incredible longtime friends Marie Helen and Elda. Bonnie was predeceased by her father Bernard and her mother Noreene.
Bonnie had a 35+ year career as a Licensed Practical Nurse at CapitalCare Lynnwood. She was incredibly devoted and passionate about her job, she took great care in looking after her residents and their families, she is loved by so many. Bonnie was a devoted wife to Ken, they loved travelling and spending time with family and friends. Her devotion to her family was unfounded, she took immense pride in all her family and they brought her enormous joy. In her recent years Bonnie found a passion for painting and created beautiful works of art. Bonnie and Ken also became proud cat parents of an adopted stray named BoBo who brought much joy and comfort to Bonnie.
She will be remembered for her caring, compassionate, gentle manner but most of all her wonderful bright smile.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Slovenian Hall, 16703 66 St NW, Edmonton, AB.
Bonnie was one of the kindest sweetest ladies I’ve ever known. She made me feel like part of the family through my youth. She listened to me patiently many late nights and always made me feel loved. I’ll always remember you and thank you for letting me be part of your family.

Dear Nikki and family. I’m so very sorry to hear of the passing of your beautiful mum. You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you navigate this new path. She may be gone from your sight, but she will always be in your heart.

On occasions when I visited Bonnie & Ken with Lisa and Mitch , Bonnie was always so positive and always smiling and was an inspiration and will surely be missed by everyone who lives she touched along her journey.

A wonderful passionate human being who blessed this earth for 72 years. In that time she made many friends, gave birth to a beautiful family had a successful career in the medical field. Bonnie was always someone you could go to for a sympathetic ear and someone who would make your life better by just being in her presence. She will be dearly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. RIP
