Ezekiel Tuazon LEBATO

Ezekiel Lebato December 02,1995 – May 02, 2024

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Ezekiel Lebato, aged 28, on May 02, 2024, due to a very rare autoimmune disease surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born as an eldest son to Bella and Michael Lebato on December 02, 1995, in Manila, Philippines and an older brother to Mikkaella Lebato. Ezekiel graduated high school in Pateros Catholic School and went to college in Far Eastern University of Makati in the Philippines and studied Information Technology. On his 4th year, Ezekiel and his family immigrated to Edmonton Alberta, Canada in 2015. He first started working in McDonalds and after a month he got promoted to become a manager and later on got promoted to become an assistant store manager.

In 2018, Ezekiel left McDonalds and started working in McKesson until the end of 2019 when he fought his very first battle. He was in and out of the hospital and was in the ICU for 3 months. After he was discharged in the beginning of 2020. His vision was mostly affected, and he got diabetic and hypertensive due to the many medications that were given to him but it still did not stop him from living his life to the fullest. He first met Rose Jareol in Spring of 2020, and later on became his partner.

In the beginning of 2024, Ezekiel’s sickness came back. He was admitted in March of 2024 and was moved to the ICU in April of 2024. With the many complications he had, Ezekiel fought very hard but sadly lost the battle. Ezekiel was a loving, social butterfly, protective, and most importantly a kind person, son, a brother, a friend, and a best partner to Rose. He grew up loving skateboarding. He was very outgoing and adventurous, and he loved camping and hiking. He likes to watch NBA and is an Oilers fan. He also loved to do photography and learned snowboarding. He was a fighter and never set back from his disability and continued to be a positive person until the end.

Ezekiel’s Novena prayer began on May 02, 2024, and memorial services will be held at the Annunciation Catholic Church. There will be a visitation to be held on Friday, May 10 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm and will have Ezekiel’s last Novena prayer at 6:00pm and the funeral will be on Saturday, May 11 at 11:00am.

Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for Ezekiel and the Lebato family.

Choy, you were such a fine young man, respectful and a smile ready for everyone. You were full of kindness and love that any parent would take pride. You blessed your parents, your little sister, your grandma, your girlfriend, your entire family and friends 28 wonderful years. Those borrowed years I’m sure were all worth it to everyone. You were an angel all along, but now you finally earned your angel wings.
It was a beautiful time in our lives to have known you, even just for a fleeting moment. Thank you for being you.

You were loved beyond measure. Take all the love you were given as you make your final journey home to our creator. Nothing compares to the love of Jesus Christ for you, for He no longer want you to suffer. Rest in God’s eternal embrace Ezekiel. 🙏🏼
