In Loving Memory of Calvin Douglas Lewis
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Calvin Douglas Lewis on July 25th, 2026, at the age of 42. Born on November 11th, 1983, and raised in Darwell, Alberta. He was a cherished son, a devoted brother, uncle, cousin, bandmate, and friend to many throughout his years.
Calvin’s life was largely lived in Vancouver, BC. Calvin had an intrinsic passion for music – playing his guitar and playing in various bands. He was an entertainer at heart. He had a career in carpentry, enjoyed cooking, hockey, scrabble, and always carried warmth in his laugh, hugs, and support that will be sorely missed.
He was predeceased by his father Douglas, and he is survived by his mother Sharon, brother Jordan (Megan), and sister Shaneen (Sean). His niece, Olive, and nephews Elliott and Rafe, who loved their Uncle Calvin. His longstanding best feline friend Floyd.
The last few years of Calvin’s life has taught us an important life lesson, to take care of the mind, be kind to your body, and cherish your spirit. Communication is key when navigating mental illness and remembering to practice empathy for the intangible.

He was, and always will be, an unforgettable part of our family story. We will miss him beyond words, and we will love him forever.
A private celebration of life will be held with family and close friends to honour him.
