Pauline Marie LUND

It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly loved Spose, Partner, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and long time resident of Watson Lake, Yukon.

PAULINE MARIE LUND
1945-2023
Pauline was born in Manitoba in 1945 to Henry and Emma Pilloud.
She went to school in Port Coquitlam, BC.
In 1967 Pauline and her sister Denise travelled to Watson Lake, Yukon to start new jobs and new adventures.
Pauline eventually worked for Time Air and Canadian Airlines as a ticket agent, baggage handler and security guard at Watson Lake airport.
She went back to school in the late 90’s and became a Radio Operator/Weather Observer and worked at the Watson Lake airport CARS station.
Pauline volunteered as an EMR/Paramedic with the Yukon Ambulance Service for 20 years.
Pauline loved camping, fishing, boating, flying, hiking. Her hobbies were quilting and sewing.
In 1996 Pauline and family members went on a white water rafting trip on the Tatshenshini River. One of the group was thrown into the rapids but was thankfully rescued with no injuries.
She loved music and dancing and was always ready to go to a community dance and kick up her heels.
Pauline loved her dogs Toosie, Yogi, and Piper.
Two weeks of every summer was spent on Vancouver Island exploring, boating and fishing.
In 2016 Pauline and Dave retired and moved to Clinton, B.C. but two years later after being evacuated twice due to forest fires they moved to Edmonton.
Later on as her health deteriorated she would often reminisce about the adventures and good times she had with friends and family.
In 2022 Pauline’s Great Granddaughter was born and little Khloe became the light of her life.
After years of struggling with COPD Pauline passed away peacefully with family by her side on December 23, 2023.
She will leave an empty space in many hearts.
