Wayne Gary MALOUIN

In Loving Memory of Wayne Gary Malouin
April 24, 1955 - August 21, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne on August 21, 2026, in Edmonton, Canada
Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and a man who lived life with curiosity, energy, and a wonderful sense of humor.
Wayne earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Guelph. Following graduation, he moved to Calgary and began a long and successful career in oil and gas fabrication. His work took him to many places across Canada and as far away as Malaysia. Wayne was passionate about his career and took great pride in the work. He retired eight years ago, and he and Kate shared their time between their family and their home in the Algarve, Portugal.
Wayne’s greatest passions were his family and friends. He cherished his wife, Kate Dunseith, his children Cody Malouin, Sarah Malouin, Laura Dull (Morgan), and Mitch Tebb, and his grandchildren Scott, Drew, Charlotte, Claire, Breslin, Beckett, and Kieran. His family brought him immense joy, and he treasured the time they spent together.
Wayne also had a deep love of travel and adventure. Most recently, he and Kate went on a safari in Botswana where they had the opportunity to observe elephants, lions, and giraffes in their natural habitat. He enjoyed discovering new places, meeting people, and building friendships along the way. He had a gift for making connections, and his friends could be found all around the world.
Always curious and eager to learn, Wayne embraced new interests throughout his life. He was passionate about soccer and music. In recent years, he was learning to play the guitar and speak Spanish. He loved golfing, fishing, cycling, and simply being outdoors and active.
Wayne was known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. He loved to tease and could always be counted on to bring laughter to those around him. He was also a genuinely good listener; someone who made people feel heard and valued. His warmth, curiosity, humor, and ability to connect with others made him a friend to many.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Bernice Malouin.
He will be deeply missed by Kate, his children and grandchildren, his siblings Bill (Lynda), Carol (Tom), Trish, and Mark (Barb), and by the many family members and friends whose lives he touched.
Wayne leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, friendships, adventures, and love. He will be remembered for the way he embraced life, the people he brought together, and, most of all, the love he had for his family.
He will be deeply loved and forever missed.
