Richard “Richie” MAYAMBO
On March 26th, 2025 Richard passed away in Edmonton Alberta at a tender age of 39.
Richie was born on December 24th, 1985 in Lusaka, Zambia. The last born and only son of the late Susan Mayambo. He is survived by his 2 older sisters Plackie and Georgina, Nephews Emmanuel (in Zambia), Stanley and Jacob.
His family immigrated to Canada in 1997 and have called Canada home since. He was so excited for his new home and immersed himself in the new culture.
To meet him is to know kindness, gentleness and a great love for the outdoors. A natural born athlete who exceled in soccer, basketball, football and snowboarding.
A great presence that we will miss always, his infectious laughter could light a room- brings a smile just thinking about it.
He will be laid to rest next to his mother back in Zambia when the time comes. Rest in Peace Richie, until we meet again.
