Archie Adolph MISKIW
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Archie Miskiw announce his passing. He leaves us all with an unforgettable legacy of kindness, caring, love and enduring wit. Over the last 3 years Archie’s health declined and despite his stubborn personality his body decided that it was time. On February 1, 2025, at the age of 85, Archie was granted eternal rest.
Archie is survived by his wife Marlene of 51 years, daughter Tracy, son in law Mike, grandsons Gavin and Blake, and his beloved dog Ferrah. Archie is predeceased by his son Brent. Archie leaves behind many extended family members and close friends who will remember him fondly.
A Celebration of Archie’s life will be held at St. Albert United Church (20 Green Grove Drive St. Albert) on February 13, 2025, at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Greater Edmonton Animal Rescue Society https://edmontonanimalrescue.org/donate/

We are so sorry to hear of Archie’s passing. Our memory of Archie is from many, many years ago – mainly curling for my husband but I knew Archie from my school years, What great people I grew up with at Mundare. Vichnaya Pamyat – Eternal Memory. Sorry we will be unable to attend his Celebration of Life. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Marlene,Tracy,Mike and Gavin and Blake, My deepest Sympathy to each of you at this difficult time,He has now gone to join Brent and Vern. Great stories to be told. Rest in peace for Archie.
Marlene,Tracy and family,
Our family’s thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Archie (like Brent) was such a character.
Growing up so closely with Brent, Archie always had something to say and was definitely never shy to tell us how he really felt – good or bad! There are lots of laughs as we think about all of the memories and his sayings:
“I drove more miles backwards than you have forwards” was one of his favourites.
We know it’s time for him to go see his boy and we hope he gives him a big hug from all of us.
Lots of love to you all.
Bill, Shannon, Griffin and Arden Butler.
