Dana De-Ann MORGAN

Dana De-Ann Morgan was born in Prince George, B.C. in 1969. She moved to Vernon, B.C. as a youngster and lived there enjoying school and the beautiful beaches until moving to Camrose in grade 8.

Dana finished her schooling in Camrose and in 1988 gave birth to a son who she named Perry Christopher. In 1997 she had twin daughters Skyler De-Ann and Jacey Carlyn. It was there she raised her kids and worked as a bartender for 24 years until moving to Sherwood Park in 2011 with the love of her life, Jason Curlew. They shared many passions, from taking care of their amazing yard, to cooking together and sharing a love of music which was a big one for them. They attended many concerts together.

In 2012 Dana began a job as a security consultant. She rose to the top before illness struck in 2018. It was then her creativity flourished. She made amazing cakes, painted canvas paintings, painted rocks, made wire wrapped suncatchers, cedar Christmas boxes… the list goes on.

She is survived by her loving husband Jason. Her son Chris, and her two beautiful daughters Skyler and Jacey (Keane).

Dana would like everyone to wear purple in some form or another as it’s her favorite color.

Donations in Dana’s memory may be made to SPCA in honor of her love of animals.

A memorial service will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Norseman Inn, 6505-48 Avenue, Camrose, Alberta.

Condolences to Dana’s family and friends.

I worked with Dana for a couple years at Cadillacs after it reopened back in ’94(?). She was so cool. She was so much fun. I have fond memories of having drinks with her and a bunch of the staff darn near every weekend.

She was kind enough to let me room with her for a bit at one point when I needed a place to stay. I’m grateful for that.

I only got to see her a few times after I left the bar, but it was always nice to catch up.

It’s been years since I’ve seen her, and had heard about her tough times, and I’m glad to read that she lived a great life with her family.

RIP Dana, thanks for being one of the coolest women I’ve ever been lucky enough to know.

I am so sorry I didn’t know Dana but I have some of her rocks. She went to school in Camrose with my son. She was a very exceptional lady and it’s sad to see someone that young pass away.
