Gerald Edward Morris

December 19, 1948 – January 3, 2023

On January 03, 2023  Gerald Morris passed away peacefully at home, in the Edmonton area, after recently moving from Penticton BC, to be closer to family. Gerald lived a life full of love, especially for the Baha’i Faith, music and service. He loved talking with people and made friends easily.

Throughout his life, he taught music in Middleton NS, Panchgani (India), Yarmouth NS, and then Shawnigan Lake, BC where he inspired children through music, and touched many people’s lives.  In retirement Gerald found fulfillment working as an advocate for people struggling with social and monetary needs.  He later helped many people ease burdens of anxiety through the practice of Thought Field Therapy.

Gerald was married twice! In his final testament, regarding his two wives,  Elizabeth Hood and Luba Polouvytnora he wrote “Thank you for sharing your life with me”

Gerald nurtured four children (Nathan Morris, Dawn Morris Blackburn, Celest Robinson and Vera Polouvytnora) and seven grandchildren (Alex, Adian, Luka, Maya, Asher, Cedar and Rayne).  

Gerald is preceded by parents (Charles Arthur Morris / Madeline Sophie Morris), brothers (Arthur Morris / Bruce Morris).  He is survived by his siblings  Elanor Clark, Allen Morris, Nancy Hein and Betty Boutlier.

Gerald is fondly remembered for his empathy, curiosity and his dedication to family and faith. He will be missed by many people the world over.
