Dominic Paul NEILSEN

Dominic Neilsen (January 16, 2000 – October 2, 2024), lived a life full of adventure and thrill. Dom was the life of the party, the heartbeat of a gathering and a light that shone bright upon everyone he passed.

Born in Melfort Saskatchewan, he came into the world surrounded by his parents Sabrina and Christopher, his grand and great-grand parents. Dom came to Edmonton where he started his education, and throughout those years he formed lasting bonds with many friends. His love was fierce and his loyalty towards others was beyond compare, as he always placed the needs of others above himself through his kindness, love and empathy.

Dom eventually returned to where it started in Melfort to complete high school. Upon receiving his diploma, he started his first job on a pipeline in Alberta. As Dom focused on his next steps, the biggest was around the corner and that was when he met his soul mate Shelby. They were perfectly suited for each other and started their life journey by moving out to BC and travelling the world as they planned what their futures had in store for them.

Although Dom’s journey took a different path, he leaves behind a profound impact on all of us, along with remembrance of his blue eyes and beautiful smile that could brighten the night sky. A devoted son and grandson, a loving partner, a big brother, a nephew, cousin and a pal that was always there, no matter where or when.

Dom’s memory will remain in the hearts of friends, family and all those who were honored to have had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Riverbend United Church, 14907-45 Avenue NW, Edmonton.
