John James Oliver passed away on July 24, 2025, in Edmonton Alberta. John was born in Winnepeg Manitoba August 26, 1948, the oldest of 11 children of parents Thomas Sidney Oliver and Mary Theresa Oliver.

John is survived by his two sisters, Marty (Martha) Ann Oliver -McBride (Craig), And Mary-Jane Oliver-Beebe (Vern) and one brother Peter Mathew Oliver (Joyce) and numerous nieces and nephews. At John’s time of passing, he had no children and was not married.

John was predeceased by his parents, 6 brothers, Sidney Thomas, Timothy Glen, Mark Aurthur, Byron Joesph, Kevin Patrick, David Micheal Francis, and one sister Theresa Kathaleen Allen.

John started his career in the 1960’s as laborer with a radiography company and over the years studied and earned certification in the field moving into ultrasonics’ becoming eventually owner and general manager. In the 70’s he took break from industry to earn degree from college as audio visual Technician. John had old school approach to work and life and was respected for his dedication for both.

John’s other passion was his motor biking having owned and ridden various motorbikes though out his adult life and until he couldn’t ride no more his beloved Harley which he rode all northwestern states and western Canada.

John was cremated and will be interned with his father at Holy cross cemetery at later date yet to be determined.

He will be missed but not forgotten.
