James Dean PAQUETTE
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of James Dean Paquette of Edmonton, Alberta, on June 17, 2026.
James leaves behind a family who loved him deeply: his mother, Cheryl; his father, Jim, brother Darryl (Carrie), nephews, Riley (Naomi) and Jesse, daughters: Aimee/Taylor (Joe), Honnor (Matt), Kennedy (Bryce), and Kristianna (Aaron) and his son Kolton (Maggie). He was a proud grandfather to Eidean, Wrangler, Imogene, Ariyah, Ava, Hunter, and Nico, each of whom brought great joy to his life.
He was predeceased by his beloved grandparents, Harry and Rose Ozechowski, Joseph and Emma Paquette, and his son Taylor,
James was also cherished by many extended family members, friends, and all those fortunate enough to know him. His kindness, generosity and unwavering willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone whose lives he touched. Growing up, James has a passion for sports and enjoyed playing soccer, hockey, and baseball. He embraced life with enthusiasm and carried that same spirit into every relationship and endeavor. Above all, James will be remembered for his compassionate heart, his selflessness, and his ability to make others feel cared for and valued. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
A Celebration of James’ life will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at High Park Community League, 11032-154 Street, Edmonton.
