Terry W. PASIEKA

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry William Pasieka, a true pillar of our family, who passed away suddenly on May 13,2026 at the age of 59 years old.

Terry was born in Edmonton, Alberta on September 29,1966 to Jean Marie Pasieka (Abel) and Bill (William) Pasieka. He was the eldest of 2 sons, unfortunately leaving his brother Rick (Richard) Pasieka. He was very close to his cousin Evelyn growing up and always referred to her as his sister, rather than his cousin. They recently reconnected in life and will meet again one day.

Terry was known for his humor and easy-going attitude, he had a way of making people feel comfortable and would be the first person to help anyone who was in need, no questions asked. Whether it was a neighbor, friend or family member, Terry always seemed to be the first phone call for many, as he was always willing to help and was dependable. He was never one to pass or make judgements of people, as he knew that people were human and often made mistakes, this didn’t make them bad people. He was always smiling, laughing and making jokes, this made it easy to fall in love with Terry.

Above all, Terry lived for his family, which included his children but mainly he was proud of his 4 grandchildren, with 1 on the way. He always spoke of how much he loved being a grandpa and couldn’t wait to meet the newest member of the family in September. He instilled values of hard-work and not only keeping your word but following through. He loved his spouse Kelly Sliworsky, more than words could describe, they were together for 26 years and had literally been through it all together. He was always making her laugh, even when she didn’t find him that funny.

Terry embodied the values of hard work and from a young age this was apparent. He held multiple jobs/careers throughout his life, but his most beloved career was being a journeyman cladder for the past 20 + years. The people that he worked with weren’t just his colleagues but truly became his family. Shout out to his fellow cladder brothers and Sheet Metal Workers Union. It gives us pride to know that Terry’s work will live on even after death.

On his days off, Terry enjoyed spending time with Kelly and their beloved dog Jax. Whether it be working in the garage or cleaning his beloved F-150 or BBQing for his family, Terry was always busy. Most recently he enjoyed spending weekends at Spruce Point Park located along the shores of Lesser Slave Lake with his family, where he could unwind and enjoy his childhood lake lot.

Terry was cremated on May 19,2026 and brought home to be with his family. Terry did not want a funeral, so we will be respecting his wishes. The family may be organizing a celebration of life in the future and will keep family/friends updated. Our family would like to sincerely thank the people who have reached out or stopped by to offer their condolences and provide support during this difficult time. It brings us comfort to know that Terry touched so many people’s lives. Please feel free to share your memories of Terry as we would love to hear them.

“A heart of gold stopped beating, working hands at rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best”.

Rest easy Old Man. We love you.
