Gwen Patenaude (Jones)

April 21, 1947 – April 4, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom at the age of 78. She was a sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Gwen was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She fought a long battle with dementia and is now at peace and able to sit with her love Herve and enjoy a Lucky.

Gwen was predeceased by her husband, Herve Patenaude, two sisters Lorraine Lamontange, Lucy Herie and two grandsons Richard Droucher and Ryan Drochuer.

Gwen is survived by her four children: Connie, Tammy (Russ), Joanne (Dave), and Joseph as well as three stepchildren: Ron (Anna), Ginette, Randy, brother Norman (Carol), and sister Donna. She also has many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mom loved to do many things, gardening being one. She always had a bountiful garden. She also loved to do canning, especially tomatoes and pickles which she loved to share. Oh, but let’s not forget Bingo, her favorite past time. Mom also loved having Christmas at her house, having us all together to cook for us.

Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day.
