Sharie Hanna PENNER

Sharie Hanna Penner
February 25, 1937- August 02, 2023

Sharie Hanna Penner passed away suddenly but peacefully on August 02, 2023. She was and always will be a beloved Mom, Grandma and Grammie. Sharie was also a dear friend and encourager but mostly… she loved Jesus and truly wanted to know Him more. She was incredibly committed to sharing the love of Christ with others.

Sharie is pre-deceased by her father Ross Gainer, her brother Rae Gainer and her mother Lavone Hamerton. She has one baby son in heaven that will now have met his Momma.

Sharie has left behind her family who will greatly mourn her loss, her children Raynell Penner, Karey Rempel and Daren Wingerter and our children, who were her heritage, Psalm 127:3. Her grandchildren are Jessica Chan, Brette-Anna Mathew and Caleb Jonasson. She was blessed to see her children’s children’s children who are Canaan Mathew, Eloise Chan, Kadesh Mathew and Winnie Chan, She knew they were a precious inheritance. Sharie leaves behind a truly
treasured friend who she met during a tragic time in her life. Wendy Johns was a best friend to Sharie. They had years of companionship, fun and travels, and in Sharie’s last years Wendy has taken care of her as her health declined. Wendy and Sharie were a gift from God for one another, they saw each other through much joy and sorrow, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12.

Sharie always wanted the best for her children, she fought hard for us and always told us how much we were loved. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. She was an accomplished administrator and pianist. Sharie was not afraid to try new things, she took university courses in languages and computer programming, got her class 2 license and real estate license at the age of 65. She gave herself a middle name in her seventies just because she didn’t have one. Sharie Penner loved living life, she loved Jesus
and her family and she will be greatly missed. “So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-17.
