Delila SIEWERT

Lily (Delila) Siewert entered heaven on November 7, 2021. Mom was much loved
by her children Candy (Ron) and Cameron (Enid) and her four grandchildren
Andrew (Darcee), Matthew (Bohdana), Joshua (Ruthie) and Zachary (Kezia). She
was also Oma to 5 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Viktoria,
Solomon, Mila, Eva and Julia. She will be dearly missed by her youngest
brother Ed.  Also grieving her loss are her Aunt Tilly, sisters-in-law Tabea and Olga
and brother-in-law Paul. She was predeceased by her husband Art (2011),
brother Joe, sisters-in-law Myrtle, Helen, Hilda, and Martha, and
brothers-in-law Oscar, Bob and Harry.  She is much loved by many nieces,
nephews and friends.

Mom was a most compassionate nurse and worked in the Swan River Valley
Hospital until retirement at age 65.  She was very giving of both money and
time to people in need. Above all she put her family first, working many
nights in her career so she could be there for Cameron and myself.  In her
later years she was a ferocious reader, a superb yeast baker and an expert
knitter.  As her health deteriorated, she continued knitting socks for people
in need despite her limited sight.  She was very independent, living in her
own condo until she died as a result of a fall and ensuing complications.
Mom will be missed but we know she is with Dad and is waiting for us to be
reunited.

A funeral service was held Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Baptist Church, 913-1st street South, Swan River, Manitoba. Interment took place in Minitonas Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Hope Mission, P.O. Box 953, Edmonton, Alberta, T5J 2L8

Hello Candy and Cameron and families, My brother Doug sent the youtube funeral service for your mother and I just finished watching it. What lovely tributes and fitting music. Your mom left a deep impact on my life. I especially remember filling Christmas candy bags and taking them to where Miss Davies had her mission. My deepest condolences to all of you. With good memories, Darlene
