In Loving Memory of Marion Sinclair

Marion Sinclair a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on August 11, 2026 surrounded by her family in Edmonton. Born on September 2, 1943 in Slave Lake, Alberta, Marion’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and dedication.

Marion was a lady of many talents and passion. She spent 30 years helping people that were in need of support with education and addictions shaping the lives of countless students, family and friends. Her commitment to education extended to mentoring young teachers, and transferring knowledge from the Elders to the younger generations, leaving a lasting impact on the profession she cherished.

Marion’s love for family and friends will be deeply remembered. Her door was always open to those that dropped into say hi, stay a while, share some laughter, have a warm meal or a piece of her famous saskatoon pie. Her enthusiasm for life, adventure, travelling, music and dancing was infectious to all that surrounded her.

She is survived by her sisters: Leona, Hazel and Thelma, her brothers Mark and Terry, her loving children Loren, Dean, Warren, and Herman. She will be deeply missed by her four grandchildren, multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marion’s memory will live on through all those lives that have been enriched by her unwavering love, support and hugs.

A memorial service to celebrate Marion’s life will be held Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Legacy Centre in Slave Lake. In lieu of flowers, the family request the donations be made to any of the Friendship Centres located in High Level Slave Lake or Edmonton
