Lewis Gary Smith

August 11, 1957 – November 22, 2025

SMITH, Lewis Gary (R.N.) – born August 11, 1957, to Norma and Lewis Wilson Smith; formerly of Peterborough, Ontario, Gary passed away at his home in Pouce Coupe, British Columbia on November 22, 2025.

In addition to being a dedicated registered nurse and stepfather to four children, Gary had numerous interests and hobbies including astronomy, travel, boat-building, equestrian pursuits, and music. A quiet man, Gary leaned into his Christian faith following the loss of his wife Anne after 33 years of marriage.

Predeceased by his parents, he leaves behind his three brothers, Tom, David, and James Smith, his stepchildren Thora, Erik, Bryan, and Freya, as well as nine grandchildren. In memory of Gary, and his beloved cat Pins, memorial donations to the South Peace SPCA in Dawson Creek, BC are greatly appreciated.
