It is with great sadness we announce that Christopher Patrick Stewart born on August 23, 1960 in Halifax, Nova Scotia passed away August 21, 2026 in Edmonton, Alberta.
He is survived by his mother Colleen, sister Dawn (Mitchell), brother Grant (Laurie), children Jason and Jordan, partner Lorna and daughter Shereen, nephews Zacharie (Amy) and Connor (Autumn), nieces Breanna, Lenora and Marlo, aunts Claire, Muriel, Barb, his uncle Bill, and many cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Don, grandparents Arthur and Olive Brunt, Victor and Janet Stewart and numerous aunts and uncles.
Chris grew up in several places across Canada being in a military family. He graduated high school in Edmonton then worked at a military supply depot near the Namao base. He pursued a career in the trades in Fort McMurray lastly working as a safety advisor. He grew up playing hockey, baseball, broomball and golf. He enjoyed team competition and comradery. He enjoyed travelling to different parts of the world and meeting new people. He loved his pets especially his dog Gabby who he took everywhere.
Chris will be remembered as a loving and caring individual who enjoyed time with friends, family and his fur babies.
A Celebration of Chris’ life will take place Monday, September 28th at 11:30 am at the St. Albert Legion, 6 Tache Street, St. Albert.

Times like this make me sad we didn’t visit more often. Chris had such a great smile and a fun personality. I remember how his dad used to love teasing him and he always took it in stride. Rest Easy Chris from your Uncle Bill.
