In Loving Memory of Elizabeth Szepesy
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Elizabeth Szepesy, who left us peacefully on June 27, 2026, at the age of 99. Mom, Grandma, Oma and Auntie Lizzy were some of the few names of this beloved woman.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Linda McLaughlin and son, Ronald Szepesy (Joan). Daughter-in-Law, Natalie Szepesy. Her grandchildren, John McLaughlin (Shannon), Sasha Rawlings (John), Justin Saxinger (Chelsie), Chelsey Szepesy-Rodts, Brandon Szepesy (Kristen), and Michael Szepesy (Casey). And Great-Grandchildren, Taven Szepesy, Isaac Rodts, Oliver Rodts, Sonny Solila, Isla Rawlings, Denver Rawlings, Emma Rawlings, Quentin Rawlings, Eli McLaughlin, and Jones Saxinger. Predeceased by her husband John Szepesy and son Gerald Szepesy. Brothers Frank and Alex Hauser and parents Theresa and Mike Hauser.
Elizabeth was kind, gentle, forgiving and the absolute definition of love. The most incredible cook and had a beautiful sense of humour and laugh. She was adored by everyone who met her.
A funeral service will be held on July 4, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Warburg Community Hall 5335-50A Avenue Warburg, AB, followed by a celebration of life. All are welcome to join us after the burial for lunch and refreshments in honoring her memory and the big life she lived.
