It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Oma / Omi, Loni Etha Thomas, who left us peacefully on July 23, 2026 at the age of 96.

Loni was born on February 19, 1930 in Germany. She immigrated to Canada in 1957 with her husband, Hans; and daughter, Christa.  They settled in Edmonton, Alberta and built a beautiful life in Canada. Loni loved spending time in her garden, cross-stitching, doing word search, and baking. She always enjoyed being surrounded by flowers and truly appreciated the simple things in life. She dedicated her life to her family.

Loni is survived by her two grandchildren, Tania (Adam) and Matthew (Mae); and her devoted caregiver, An. Loni was predeceased by her husband, Hans; and daughter, Christa.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
